About Bliss

Benny Bliss has the experience and the fortitude to recognize needs and provide solutions. Benny can visualize a winning idea and create the path to bring the idea to fruition. For over 15 years, Benny owned and operated Little Gatlinburg, a fine gift and collectible boutique with several locations in the Birmingham, Alabama, area. During the height of the Beanie Babies craze, customers waited patiently for up to five hours to purchase directly from Benny and to have his assistance in adding to their collections.

Benny brought his talents and vision to Long’s Electronics in Irondale, Alabama, as Director of Special Markets in the education and government divisions and quickly elevated the demand of Long’s technology products to educators across the United States. Best known for placing Elmo Document Cameras and InFocus Projectors in classrooms, administrators and teachers looked forward to “Mr. Elmo” visits and his innovative enhancements of their teaching processes.

Benny serves on the Board of Directors for the Warblers Club, a male chorus whose origins began as the boys’ choir at Woodlawn High School in Birmingham. The Warblers Club performs at churches, veteran events and their own frequently sold-out performances.

As an alumni volunteer for Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity, Benny serves as President of the Board of Directors over the Housing Corporation at Auburn University. He also serves as President of the Alumni Association and serves on the Board of Advisors.

At the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Benny founded the TKE chapter and now serves as Chapter Advisor Emeritus.

Benny is a man of action and gets things done…only he needs your help.
